The Cordell Hull Birthplace and Museum State Park encompasses the log cabin that was Hull's first home as a child in the late 1800s and a museum chronicling the Secretary of State's life and political actions. The museum contains Hull's Nobel Peace Prize, letters of correspondence and other artifacts from his long political career. In addition to these historical holdings, the park contains the daunting 50-foot high and 100-foot wide Bunkum Cave, which can be found at the end of a 1.25-mile long hike. Located five miles west of Byrdstown, the park is not far from the Kentucky state line and scenic fishing-friendly Dale Hollow Lake.
Open daily, Apr - Oct: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Nov - Mar: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
